Cosmetology Program: 1600 Hours
Mariacy Beauty Academy’s cosmetology program consists of the study of artistic and scientific principles of cosmetology in theory, concept and practical application.
Within the 1600 clock hours course, students will be taught through audio-visual presentations, interactive education through the use of Laser disc technology DVD, lectures, demonstrations, practical hands-on experiences, and written practical testing.
Each phase includes a segment on People Skills which is essential for a successful, professional cosmetology career.

What a cosmetologist does.
Cosmetology is the study of skin, hair and nails which includes manicures, pedicures, special occasion hairstyling, shampooing hair, cosmetic application, body hair removal, chemical hair relaxers or straighteners, permanent waves, coloring and highlighting of hair, and hair extensions or wig treatments.
A cosmetology career is creative and educates you to help your clients achieve specific looks. Considerable time is dedicated to styling and sculpting hair according to each customer’s specific features; you must assess their hair type, facial features as well as discuss their needs and desires. As a result, they feel good about themselves and gain the confidence they need to maintain their look.

Mariacy Beauty Academy’s program focuses on providing you with the skills to see, think, create and adapt as a designer, not just duplicate a hairstyle.
During your education, you gain experience in a salon environment practicing all aspects of the cosmetology craft. Your studies will include:

You will also be instructed in the basics of beauty care and esthetics, including facials, waxing, body treatments, and makeup application as it relates to the basic esthetics of the face. Plus, you will study nail technology including manicures and pedicures. An essential element of your education is learning how to effectively engage with clients. Our comprehensive Salon Success program will help you build this skill and confidence while working with clientele and retail products in the Mariacy Beauty Salon.
